Happy Anniversary

Chapala Med December 2023

Newsletter

Dear Chapala Med Community,

As the year draws to a close, we want to extend our warmest holiday greetings to the expat community of Lake Chapala and Jalisco, Mexico. December is a season of celebration, reflection, and renewal, and we wish you all a joyous holiday season and a blessed 2024 filled with health, joy, and prosperity.

In this month’s edition of CHAPALA MED, our focus is firmly on your well-being during the winter season. We understand the importance of safeguarding your health, and we’ll be addressing key health and safety concerns such as respiratory infections, responsible alcohol consumption during the holiday season, and strategies for maintaining optimal mental health during this festive time.

We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our patients and the entire community for your trust and unwavering support since our establishment since 2012. It has been an incredible journey, and we are honored to be your healthcare partner of choice. We look forward to continuing to provide you with exceptional primary care and medical services in the Lake Chapala area.

At Chapala Med, we are more than just a medical clinic; we are your partners in health. We want to remind you that we offer the most comprehensive regenerative medicine program in the region, encompassing STEM CELL therapies, PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatments, bioidentical hormonal optimization therapies, nutritional counseling, and longevity/functional medicine with functional rehabilitation. Our goal is to optimize your golden years and add quality years to your life.

Moreover, we are proud to have a team of specialists who are dedicated to your well-being, including experts in cardiology, geriatrics, oncology, gastroenterology, ENT, audiology, psychiatry, as well as physical and cardiac rehabilitation.

In this newsletter I hope you will find useful information to maintain your quality of life optimized and continue to enjoy good health. The article on BENZODIAZEPINES is of interest due to the heavily used and over prescription of these medications, especially in those over the age of 70. Getting the patients to discontinue their use presents a dilema for the patient as well as the doctor.

We are also offering the Pfizer COVID19 vaccine on a per order basis. According to the local news, they will also be available at many local large chain pharmacies.

As we bid farewell to 2023, let us look ahead to the new year with hope and determination. We are here to support you on your journey to better health, and we are excited to continue serving you in 2024 and beyond.

Thank you once again for your trust, and from all of us at Chapala Med, we wish you a healthy and happy 2024!

Warm regards,

Santiago R. Hernandez M.D.
